July 6, 2009 Doris Coghill- Trip to the Czech Republic
Doris will talk about her many trips to the Czech Republic both with friends and as a leader for the Beadventure Tour to Czech that happens every two years. Hear funny stories about getting lost and trips to see beads, buttons, bottles, Christmas ornaments and more actually made before your eyes. And yes she will have a slide show and Czech items to sell.
The Upper Midwest Bead Society meetings are held at the Textile Center 3000 University SE, Minneapolis MN 55414.
Monday meetings start at 7pm, but come as early as 5pm for open beading.

Membership Renewal
It's that time of year again. Time to renew your membership. What a bargain at $24 per year. Fill out the renewal form in the newsletter and mail it in or give it to Nancy at the meeting.
Newsletter
To cut down on costs and resources, we are asking all members to sign up for the email version of the UMBS Newsletter. In 2010 we are considering charging an extra fee, to cover printing and postage costs, for those members who choose to receive the snail mail version of the newsletter. Let's try to be a "Green" Bead Society.
Tote Bags
The backpack tote bags with our new logo are in! Cindy will be selling them at the meetings. Cost: $20 each.
